This is a lengthy and complicated will involving many properties. The subsequent codicil changed the requirement of one of the legatees to sell part of the properties in Watlington to acquire a share in other properties in Hertfordshire since the testator had acquired such a share from Mrs. Frances Knight to whom he granted an annuity before his death. The current names of the towns and counties referred to in the transcript of the will have been included in the bequests. The testator's relationship to Edward Duncombe was not stated, but possibly was his brother.
