| 0002: | The Twenty fourth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand |
| 0003: | seven hundred and Twenty I Jane Rakestraw being far in years and |
| 0004: | Weak in body but of good and perfect memory, thanks therefore I return |
| 0005: | to Almighty God. But calling to remembrance that all Flesh is born to dye |
| 0006: | and depart out of this transitory Life the time and place being uncertaine |
| 0007: | I do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form |
| 0008: | following revokeing and annulling all other Wills formerly by me made and |
| 0009: | declared either by word or Writing and this to be taken only for my last |
| 0010: | Will and Testament and none other, and first being Sensible of the need I |
| 0011: | stand in of a Redeemer by reason of Sin and understanding that God is in and |
| 0012: | by Jesus Christ reconcileing Sinners to him self I commit my Soul into the hand |
| 0013: | of Jesus Christ my Redeemer to be by him presented to the Father, washed |
| 0014: | and cleansed in his blood and my body to be buried in such place where it |
| 0015: | shall please my Executor hereafter named to appoint And now for the Settling |
