To my wife Frances Clements, the interest or dividends from the £700 stock in 3% consolidated funds to be paid to her half yearly for life;  the interest from the £150 currently held by Strickland Freeman of Fawley Court, to be invested and the interest to be paid to her at the rate of £7.10s per annum.  After her death, these sums to be divided equally between my son James Clements and daughter Ann Lakeman (but deducting £50 from my daughter's share as she received £50 on her marriage to James Lakeman).

0001: In the Name of God Amen
0002: I Thomas Clements of Henley upon Thames in the
0003: County of Oxford Yeoman being sick and weak of
0004: body but of Perfect sound disposing mind & memory
0005: do make this as & for my last Will and Testament
0006: in manner following (that is to say) I demand in
0007: the Name of God that I nominate and appoint my
0008: Son & Heir James Clements of Henley aforesaid to
0009: Be my sole Executor of this my Will and that he
0010: do duly Perform the following to the best of his
0011: power I do give & dispose of my Property and Effects
0012: in the following form & manner First I give &
0013: bequeath to Frances Clements my good and lawful
0014: Wife for and during her natural life the Interest
0015: or dividend arising from the Stock Of Seven hundred
0016: Pounds in the three P[er] cent Consolidated Funds (the same
0017: to be paid her half Yearly from the time of my decease)
0018: now standing in my Name I also give and bequeath
0019: to my Wife Frances the Interest or dividend arising
0020: from the One hundred and fifty pounds now in the Hands

In the Register there is a margin note which states on the 15th January 1831, Administration with the will annexed was granted to John Baring the Administrator of the will of James Clements (the appointed executor) deceased for the use and benefit of Harriett Clements Widow, William Giffing, Timothy Hutton and William Mandeville, the Executors of the said James Clements now residing in New York.
