0002: I Titus Seal of Henley upon Thames in the County of Oxon Schoolmaster
0003: being Ill but of a perfect sound mind memory and understanding
0004: thanks be given to God therefore) and calling to Mind the certainty
0005: of death and uncertainty of the time when and to avoid all disputes
0006: which may happen after my decease as far as in me lyes do make
0007: and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form
0008: following First I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God
0009: who gave it trusting to obtain Salvation through the Merits Death
0010: and Passion of Jesus Christ my ever blessed Saviour and Redeemer
0011: and my Body to the Earth from whence it came to be decently
0012: buried at the discretion of my Executor herein after named and as for
0013: my Worldly Estate which God in his Mercy hath bestowed on me I
0014: dispose thereof as followeth (that is to say) I give devise and
0015: bequeath to my Brother John Seal Thirty Pounds that is in the
0016: Hands of Mr John Corderoy to be paid him Six Months after my

0057: Evangelists to depose the Truth made Oath as follows that he is
0058: the natural and lawful Father of Titus Seal late of Henley
0059: upon Thames aforesaid Schoolmaster deceased that his said Son
0060: died on the fifth day of January last and after his death the
0061: Deponent found lockt up in a Drawer of his the deceaseds Chest
0062: of Drawers the Paper Writing hereto annext Purporting to be
0063: the last Will and Testament of the said Deceased bearing date
0064: tenth day of November 1749 with a Post[↑s]cript or Codicil thereto
0065: without date and he saith that on the said dece[ase]ds death he
0066: found the Key of the said Drawer in which the said Will was
0067: lockt in his the said deceaseds Breeches Pocket and the said
0068: Will and Codicil when so found were in the same Plight and
0069: Condition as they now appear and Particularly the Erazure
0070: at the end of the fifteenth Line of the said Will and the
0071: Words thirty Pounds wrote on such Erazure did then appear
0072: therein in the same manner as they now do and the
0073: Deponent saith that the Deponents Son John Seal the Brother
0074: of the said Titus Seal deceased died before the said Titus Seal
0075: the Testator and the Deponent doth verily believe the whole
0076: Body of the said Will and Codicil and also the said Words thirty
0077: Pounds wrote on the said Erazure and the Several Interlineations
