Bequests

To: The poor of Henley, Rotherfield Peppard and Rotherfield Greys

I give to the poor of Henley upon Thames forty shillings, to the poor of Rotherfield Peppard ten shillings and to the poor of Rotherfield Grayes [Grays] twenty shillings to be paid by my Executor into the hands of the Churchwardens of the said parishes, to be distributed amongst their respective poor about the time of my interment.

0002: I John Corderoy of the Parish of Henley upon Thames in
0003: the County of Oxon Yeoman being ancient and infirme but of
0004: sound mind and understanding Doe make this my last Will and
0005: Testament in manner and forme following And First and principally
0006: I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me
0007: trusting through the merritts and mediation of my Lord and
0008: Saviour Jesus Christ to have remission of all my Sinns and to
0009: be made partaker of those blessed Mansions eternally in the Heavens
0010: which he hath promissed to all those that love and fear him And
0011: my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buryed at the
0012: Discretion of my Executor hereinafter named And as for my
0013: Worldly Estate which the Lord out of his mercy hath bestowed
0014: upon me I dispose thereof as followeth Imprimis I give to the poor
0015: of Henley upon Thames forty shillings To the poor of Rotherfeild
0016: Peppard tenn shillings and to the poor of Rotherfeild Grayes
0017: twenty shillings to be paid by my Executor into the hands of the
0018: Churchwardens of the said respective Parishes to be by them

0036: Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever comprized in
0037: the said Indentures as well with the payment of the Further
0038: Summe Annuity or yearely Rent Charge of five pounds of
0039: lawfull English money to my said wife yearely and every
0040: yeare dureing the terme of her naturall life on such dayes
0041: and in such manner as the said Annuity of twenty pounds is and
0042: are appointed to be paid to my said wife in and by the said
0043: Indenture of Release as alsoe with the payment of soe much and
0044: such of my Debts Legacyes and Funerall charges as my Stock and
0045: personall Estate undevised shall fall short of paying and
0046: dischargeing Item I constitute and appoint my Sonn William
